Major William C. Grimshaw was born in England. He has been a soldier by profession and has fought in the armies of many nations. He served in our army with distinction in the World War and on several occasions was entrusted with important missions. He came to Sparta soon after the war ended and has lived here in retirement since. He has been a world traveler and is a man of rare culture. He is a contributor to some of the most exclusive magazines in the country. He writes both verse and prose but some of his verse is most exquisite poetry.
